How to Renew your Membership
Many people get a little confused about when and how to renew. That’s normal! We are giving you all the information on this page, so you don't have to remember anything.
If you receive our literature by mail, look at the label on your Notes or Survivorship journal. The date before your name is the month that your membership expires. If you have e-mail, we contact you and tell you when your membership is expiring. You may also write info@survivorship.org and ask.
You may switch from Internet to Regular or Regular to Internet when you renew. You may also ask for a gift membership if you need it. You don’t have to explain: we understand and trust you.
If you have a gift membership this year and would like another one, please let us know that you are still interested in Survivorship and want to renew. That’s it!
If you renew before you need to, we will just add the extra months onto your membership.
Rates
The rates for Survivorship membership have held steady for quite a while – $25.00 for an electronic membership and $35.00 for a regular mail membership, with an extra $6.00 in Canada and $12.00 for countries other than the US and Canada, to cover added postage.
As costs for mailing and duplicating go up, we hope that some of you will be able to help out by increasing your membership contribution. If you cannot do so, you are definitely welcome to continue at the current rates.
Our new rates are on a sliding scale based on ability to pay: $25.00 to $50 for an electronic membership, $35.00 to $75 for a regular mail membership (with the same add-ons outside the U.S. as before). We suggest that health-care professionals contribute $35.00 toward gift memberships.
Remember that we have full and partial gift memberships!
Thank you for helping us to help the survivor community.
Renewing
1. First, decide if you want to read the Survivorship Journal on the web site (Internet Member) or receive it by regular mail (Regular Member). Everybody with e-mail gets the Notes by e-mail.
Both Internet and Regular Members receive a password so that they can use the Members Only section of this web site.
2. Then choose a membership category.
$35.00 – $70.00 Regular Membership, U.S.
$41.00 – $76.00 Regular Membership, Canada
$47.00 – $82.00 Regular Membership, other countries
$25.00 – $50.00 Internet Membership (all countries)
If you are a professional, we suggest that you donate $35.00 to support gift memberships for low-income survivors.
There are also full and partial gift memberships available. Write info@survivorship.org for information.
We truly appreciate gifts so that we may offer support to survivors who are unable to work due to the after-effects of their abuse and to survivors who are imprisoned. All donations are tax deductible. We are a 501(C) corporation.
3. Decide whether you want to pay by check, money order, or PayPal. PayPal accepts charge cards.
