Survivorship is not affilated with the people who are conducting this survey and is not officially endorsing it. Survivorship has a policy of never endorsing any other organizations, workshops, conferences, books, articles, or projects.
However, Jeannie Riseman (Editor and web person) has known Thorsten Becker, Carol Rutz, and Wanda Karriker, for years. She presented at a conference in the Netherlands at which Thorsten also spoke. He also has translated RA material into German for her. Carol and Jeannie co-led a S.M.A.R.T. workshop on guilt about having killed. These four people have been on several e-mail lists together, and Thorsten and Bettina Overkamp have been colleagues for a long time. Jeannie has known Randy Noblitt and Pam Perskin for over ten years. They presented together at the U.N. on ritual abuse and Jeannie has a chapter in their up-coming book.
Here is the announcement made about the survey,

ANNOUNCEMENT of Survey for Therapists, Counselors, Clergy, and Other Persons Who Have Worked Professionally With at Least One Adult Survivor of Extreme Abuse.

The Professional Extreme Abuse Survey (P-EAS) is the second in a series of online surveysı designed to explore commonalities reported by survivors of Extreme Abuse including, but not limited to, Ritual Abuse and/or Mind Control (RA/MC).  This anonymous survey is conducted privately by Thorsten Becker, Bettina Overkamp, Wanda Karriker, and Carol Rutz. The survey will be available from now until June 30, 2007 at http://extreme-abuse-survey.net .

Rationale for this Preliminary Study

Ten years ago, the therapeutic community faced the first criminal trial involving charges against therapists in connection with “false” or “recovered” memories of ritual abuse. Although charges were dismissed in March 1999, the phenomenon of RA/MC remains a controversial issue among therapists, counselors, investigators, and in the courts.

Only a few empirical studies in peer-reviewed journals provide descriptive data reported by adult survivors regarding the types of ritual abuse they have experienced and its mental and physical sequelae. No studies involve interviews with survivors of mind control experimentation or professionals who have worked with them.

Preliminary data indicate that at least 1450 individuals from 32 countries representing 6 continents responded to the first survey titled “An International Survey for Adult Survivors of Extreme Abuse (EAS).”  Other preliminary EAS data (percentages of responses to each question) will be posted on the website as soon as it is calculated, hopefully by April 15.  When the EAS statistical analyses is finished, the results will also be posted on the website.  In addition, Carol Rutz will be presenting  the results in August at the S.M.A.R.T. conference. The third survey in the series, scheduled to be posted on July 1, 2007, is titled: “International Online Survey for Care Givers of Child Victims of Extreme Abuse” (C-EAS)
