Survivorship Webinars
WEBINAR NEWS: Survivorship is pleased to announce that some of our webinars have been approved for CEU’s through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences which covers Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT); Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW); Licensed Educational Psychologists (LEP); Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC); MFT Interns (IMF); Associate Clinical Social Workers (ASW); and Professional Clinical Counselor Interns (PCCI) in the State of California). All our speakers have a lot of experience in the field with the practical aspect of working with survivors of Ritual Abuse and Mind Control.
WEBINAR INTRO: Survivorship has been successful in offering Webinars on various aspects of ritual abuse and healing. Webinars are like a presentation at a conference, only the conference comes to you via a computer link. You can choose to use a telephone for the audio portion of the webinar, which might cost, or computer headphones.
This new technology has been effective in providing information and building bridges between people who cannot meet in person. We have many participants from all walks of life and from all over the world.
PRIVACY CONCERNS
The information you send Survivorship in order to register is kept strictly confidential. No record is kept of your phone number. You choose what name to go by for the Webinar: it does not have to be your real name or message board screen name.
The presentation will be recorded and posted on our website so that you can hear it again.
SELF CARE
We have received feedback that hearing other survivors' voices is a very emotional experience. Think about ways to take care of yourself afterwards in case you have this reaction or in case the material presented stirs up issues. It's ok to take a break during the webinar and/or to leave early. Please remember that webinars are not a replacement for therapy and are not meant to be used as therapy.

Saturday, June 1
12:00 noon Pacific Time
Presenter: Barbara Joy Hansen
"How Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Trauma can avoid becoming enablers."
Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Trauma often become enablers because of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Barbara Joy Hansen's personal, vulnerable journey resulted in poor choices she made but helped her understand the "why's" of her experiences including questioning the very core of her existence with her codependency addiction involving a male heroin addict in prison. This insane behavior sets us up for shame and we become very destroyed human beings who have no idea who we are and it sets the stage of a play that we do not want to be acting in.
Warrior & Survivor of childhood incest & clergy sex abuse Barbara JOY Hansen, International Author of "Listen to the Cry of the Child" is breaking the silence after suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for 38 years. Barbara has been interviewed on Focus on the Family, has had countless newspaper, television & radio interviews & speaks at Domestic Violence & Prison Conferences all over the world. She speaks with passion & purpose with deep empathy towards the abuser as well as the abused. She can be contacted at her web site at www.listentothecry.org

Presenter: Lisa Ann Gray
"What a service dog is and how service dogs can help people with PTSD."
Lisa Ann Gray will present about what a service dog is, how service dogs can help people with PTSD and the different options for training service dogs: non-profit organizations, for-profit organizations, training your own service dog or attending a service dog training school.
Lisa Ann Gray retired after 25 years working in Corporate America as a Computer Analyst in order to start training and placing service dogs with people who live with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She is a survivor and have been living with PTSD most of my life. She became clean and sober in 1990 and started having flashbacks soon after that. She has been in therapy since then and have made a lot of progress in her life. She is looking forward to giving back now to other survivors and hopefully helping them feel a little safer in the world. She has seen the first-hand benefits of how service dogs can help disabled people and veterans with PTSD. She'd like to bring PTSD service dogs to the survivor community as well.

Presenter: Randy Weled, MFT
"A Webinar On Brainspotting"
Randy will present on both the neurological and clinical aspects as well as protocols that he uses and has been used on him for his continued recovery. He will present and teach the three breathing exercises that are used to ground himself and clients. He will teach basic protocols in a web presentation.
This is the definition of Brainspotting in the words of David Grand its Developer.
"Where we look affects how we feel BSP makes use of this natural phenomenon through its use of relevant eye positions. This helps the BSP therapist to locate, focus, process and release a wide range of emotionally and bodily-based conditions. BSP is also a brain-based tool to support the therapy relationship. We believe that BSP taps into and harnesses the body's natural self-scanning, self-healing ability. When a Brainspot is stimulated, the deep brain appears to reflexively signal the therapist that the source of the problem has been found. BSP can also be used to find and strengthen our natural resources and resilience. BSP is designed as a therapeutic tool that can be integrated into a many of healing modalities."
Randy Weled, MFT has been a licensed therapist for 13 years. He also spent an additional 10 years as a Process Worker Trained By Arnold Mindel. In this time he has specialized in recovery from addiction and trauma associated with these behaviors. His practice is now focused on Brainspotting, working with both simple and complex Trauma. He personally had been diagnosed with Complex PTSD, and has done over 20 years of work on his own recovery.
